KOREAN CRAFTS 2025_Heritage for Tomorrow
Under the theme “Heritage for Tomorrow_What we hope to leave behind,” the exhibition celebrates the rich spectrum of Korean craftmanship. Featuring the works of 31 distinguished artists and cooperating teams, and showcasing 65 exceptional works, it presents the past, present, and future of Korean crafts all in one place.
he exhibition is organized into three curated sections:
- Part 1. highlights the essence of Korean crafts, presented by leading experts in the field.
- Part 2. Part 2 explores collaborations and transmission between traditional techniques and contemporary design and art.
- Part 3. introduces upcycled craftworks.
○ Pop-up Exhibition
The Korea Craft and Design Foundation presents a special display of Korean craft at the ‘1779 SHOP Showcase,’ a cultural space within the historic Choi Clan House of Gyeongju. For over three centuries since the late Joseon era, the Choi family embodied noblesse oblige and safeguarded local culture.

The craft market offers visitors a delightful opportunity to explore handcrafted pieces created by Korean handcraft artist and purchase pieces that blends artistry with everyday life.
